The Double Pick is a separator designed to save time and increase production by separating tangled loads of laundry. The unit will break and separate a linen cake coming from the press of a batch washer. If articles are processed in a washer/extractor, the Double Pick can be used with linen supplied by a conveyor or by a laundry cart. In either case, the Double Pick is designed to supply separated linen to operators for easier feeding into a spreader-feeder.
Mechanical hands separate the linen with great care and deposit the pieces on a receiving conveyor or into a cart. The machine uses two "smart hands" in conjunction with tilting of the arms to ensure a smooth and continuous flow of separated linen. The double picking action allows for a production of up to 1,200 pieces per hour.
The Double Pick reduces FTE hours, eliminates a physically demanding job, improves feeding consistency and productivity, and addresses ergonomic concerns.
