The ORION is conceived for high speed and precise folding of flatwork such as bed sheets, draw sheets, surgical fields, tablecloths and similar items. This unit integrates the highest technology in programmable logic controllers (PLC), pneumatics, and mechanics. As always, the folder was designed with a constant concern for providing operators with optimal protection and ease of use.

Simple and compact, this unit requires a limited number of maintenance and adjustments due to the use of its PLC. This device permits to quickly select or create new folding programs and ensures the early detection of emergencies.

Working Principle
According to model chosen, one, two, or three primary folds are made in one, two, three, or four lanes. These folds are accomplished by airblast or by mechanical knife. One or two crossfolds are available in one or two lanes. The measure of the article is realized at the end of the ironer where a wheel turns in contact with the linen and drives a pulsegenerator. A photocell guarantees the beginning and the end of pulse counting, ensuring a folding of higher quality and independent of ironer speed.
